How to spot a genuine Strike Wedge.

Knockoffs are everywhere. Most are 3D-printed in China and sold on Amazon, eBay or Etsy for around $40. This page is how to tell the real one from the copy, and what to do if you already bought a fake.

The three facts that matter

This is what's being sold as a Strike Wedge today.

Generic plastic case, 3D-printed wedge piece, plastic ruler. Listed at around $40 on Amazon, eBay and Etsy. We did not make this and we do not stand behind it. The genuine product is on the next photo down.

Genuine vs. copy, side by side.

The actual cost of buying the copy first.

Broken copy$40
Genuine after$69

The cheaper option is the genuine one bought once.

Designed in Australia, by golfers.

Strike Wedge was designed by PGA professional Chris Rose and Toby Williams, in Australia. The product was built around what was missing from a working teaching pro's bag: a constraint that actually shows you the strike, not another sensor that tells you about it.

Every unit is moulded and inspected to the same spec. Free worldwide shipping to almost all countries, with local warehouses in Australia, the US, the UK and Germany for the fastest delivery in those regions. We do not sell on Amazon, eBay or Etsy.

Common questions.

How do I know if my Strike Wedge is genuine?

A genuine Strike Wedge is injection-moulded as one continuous piece of TPU. There are no layer lines, no seams, no rough finish, and the wordmark is embossed cleanly into the surface. If your unit has visible horizontal layer lines, a rough or fibrous finish, or feels brittle on impact, it is a copy.

Where can I buy a real Strike Wedge?

Direct at strikewedge.com. That is the only place we sell. We have no authorised resellers, we are not currently on Amazon, eBay or Etsy, and every Strike Wedge listing on those marketplaces today is unauthorised.

Is Strike Wedge sold on Amazon?

Not currently. We are working on an official Amazon listing through Brand Registry. Until that goes live, any Strike Wedge listing on Amazon is a copy. See amazon.strikewedge.com for the full breakdown.

Are 3D-printed copies as good as the real one?

No. Even copies in TPU split along the layer lines under repeated impact. Strike Wedge is injection-moulded as one piece, no layer interfaces to fail. Printed copies also miss the precise constraint angles that make the feedback work. See 3dprint.strikewedge.com for the mechanics.

Why do the copies break?

Two reasons. First, material: 3D-printed parts have weak interlayer bonds that fail under repeated club impact. Second, geometry: the constraint angles are tuned to deliver feedback for ground interaction, strike location and path. Replicating the rough shape is not enough.

Is Strike Wedge patented?

International patent pending. Trademark registered in Australia and the United Kingdom, pending in the United States. We actively enforce against infringing listings on Amazon, eBay, Etsy and on STL sharing sites including Thingiverse, Printables, Cults3D and MakerWorld.

What if I already bought a fake one?

Contact the Strike Wedge team via strikewedge.com/pages/contact. We can sometimes help with a credit toward a genuine unit, and reports from customers help us prioritise enforcement against the sellers.

Do you ship internationally?

Free worldwide shipping to almost all countries. Orders to Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany ship from local warehouses and land in 3 to 7 business days. International orders typically arrive in 5 to 14 days.
